TankSure Program

Homestead Fuel has added a vauable new service called the TankSure Program to our annual service plans (Super Plan, Homestead Plan & Steam Boiler Plan) as well as our Annual Inspection and Tune-Ups. This new program helps you avoid potential problems - and costs - associated with aging fuel oil tanks. For too long the standard in our industry has been to replace fuel oil tanks when they leak. Your tank may look perfectly fine from the outside but it could be wearing dangerously thin. The TankSure Program uses ultrasound testing equipment (similar to a medical ultrasound) to give you a sense of security - or plenty of advance warning that a problem is on the horizen.

This is a first for our industry. For qualified tanks, we will provide you with a $1000 tank replacement warranty. The most important aspect of this new Program is that we inspect your tank each year and will be able to determine when it should be replaced. In virtually all cases the analysis will enable us to replace your tank before it leaks.

TankSure Program Paying for an oil tank replacement or having an unexpectd leak is something that everyone would like to avoid. The TankSure Program is designed to eliminate that worry by providing a recommended annual preventive maintenance practice. The TankSure Program is designed to monitor and protect your fuel oil tank. If your tank needs replacement in the future the warranty will cover up to $1,000 towards the replacement.		$1000 Proactive Tank Replacement Warranty Your tank's thickness, measurements, physical characteristics and surrounding environment will be analyzed with our Tank Profiling Software to determine whether it needs to be replaced. If your tank needs replacement in the future the warranty will cover up to $1,000* towards the replacement. Taxes, Permits, and Disposal fees are not included.
Monitoring & Inspection Our Trained service professionals will use state of the art ultrasonic equipment to test your tank. The ultrasonic equipment uses the same fundamentals as a medical ultrasound to measure the thickness of your tank. From these measurements we are able to determine when your tank should be replaced.		Zinc Anode Protection A zinc anode will be inserted in your tank. The anode will work similar to zinc protection used in the marine industry and in water heaters. The anode will help prevent corrosion in your tank.
